{"id":1901,"date":"2016-03-17T13:23:56","date_gmt":"2016-03-17T18:23:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/politicalqrm.com\/?p=1901"},"modified":"2016-03-17T13:23:56","modified_gmt":"2016-03-17T18:23:56","slug":"seventeen-friends-and-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/politicalqrm.com\/?p=1901","title":{"rendered":"Seventeen &#8220;Friends&#8221; and More!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>\u00a0(Author&#8217;s note: \u00a0Please\u00a0keep in mind\u00a0that I wrote this during the hiatus from PQRM. \u00a0I found it on one of my old blogs and thought it worthy of publishing here. \u00a0You may disagree. \u00a0That is your G\/d given right. \u00a0Oh, yeah, I WAS particularly angry that day. \u00a0These things happen&#8230;<\/em>.)<\/p>\n<p>Part one: \u00a0(The Post In Question)<\/p>\n<p>From the \u201cNo, The United States\u00a0is not a\u00a0\u2018Christian Nation\u2019 and never has been\u201d files: (and, if you\u00a0<em>DON\u2019T<\/em> read it all, you\u00a0are a Bolshevik Weenie(r) )<\/p>\n<p>I am not a subscriber to the \u201cChristian Nation\u201d hyperbole. Yes, we were\u00a0founded by Christians. (seeking religious freedom, by the way), and yes, the values\u00a0our young nation espoused were \u201cessentially\u201d Christian ones. Such issues as the Ten Commandments\u2026but\u2026As Connor McManus pointed out, \u201c\u2026these are principles which ev<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">ery man, of every faith, can get behind\u201d. The ideals of our founders were influenced by these tenets, true enough, but they\u00a0thought enough of us to see to it that this is not\u00a0a \u201cChristian Nation\u201d. If we are, we\u2019re no better than the Saudis or Yemeni. (Okay, stipulated that they are vile people, but\u2026they have a mandatory state religion. Something our forbears insisted that we do not). While you can\u00a0find allusion, allegation and even some tacit proof within our founding documents that we are, you will find more\u00a0in them that says we are not. That\u2019s precisely\u00a0what\u00a0they intended.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>I am a patriot. I\u2019d wager that, right now, there are quite a few of you who would doubt that, especially enough that you\u2019d actually believe that I am not\u00a0a Constitutionalist. Or that my oath\u00a0had an \u201cexpiration date\u201d. It did not. And I intend to honor\u00a0it. But I will not\u00a0honor a twisting of it in any\u00a0direction. Get over it, get with it. Jews, (you know, as in JUDEO), Hindus, Buddhists, Pagans, Witches, Heathens, ( &lt;\u2013 real ones), Baha\u2019i, or even Humanists\u00a0are NOT your enemy. For that\u00a0matter, there are people out there claiming your\u00a0religion that are doing us\u00a0more harm than good. You scoff\u00a0at those \u201cCoexist\u201d bumper stickers? \u00a0Some of those people have been beside you in battle. Some of them may have even\u00a0died\u00a0next to you. Some of the blood that gives us the red stripes on Old Glory belongs to them. Some of what waves\u00a0Old Glory is their dying breath.<\/p>\n<p>You\u00a0have women in your midst that will vote for Hillary because she&#8217;s a woman. \u00a0You\u00a0have people who voted for Obama twice\u00a0based on his being black, even though that\u2019s only 50% true. You\u00a0have people who would vote for a Latino on that basis alone.<\/p>\n<p>I am not a Christian. I am a patriot. Fight along side of me, not against me. It\u2019s in the First Amendment, dammit!<\/p>\n<p>We now return you to your previously scheduled mindless games, drivel, e-cards and kittens.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>(Part TWO)<\/p>\n<p>From the \u201cLet Me Say This About That\u201d files: After having lost seventeen\u00a0\u201cfriends\u201d by virtue, (I\u2019ll guess), of my \u201cChristian Nation\u201d post, I\u2019ll tell you how I feel about another malignancy of the internet. I\u2019ll call them \u201cThe Three Stooges\u201d. No, not Moe, Larry and Curly, but Billy Bob, Bobby Ray and Earl. Mind you, some of the sites these guys run aren\u2019t located in the South. Most of them aren\u2019t even as ludicrously named, (although it would be appropriate), as my lead up. But you <em>know<\/em> them, I\u2019m sure. \u00a0They are the people that \u201cclaim\u201d to be \u201cConservative\u201d sites promulgating \u201cConservative Values\u201d and \u201cInformation\u201d. \u00a0They\u2019re also probably the ones out playing \u201cG.I. Joe Rambo\u201d in the woods just outside of town. \u00a0Again, you know this lot. \u00a0The Wallymart camo, the surplus gear that spends more time being repaired than used because it becomes \u201cFUBAR\u201d because they don\u2019t \u201cRTFM\u201d. \u00a0The $2000 .22 caliber AR-15 look-a-likes they buy because they won\u2019t spring the extra $500 on the rifle and the $500 on ammo. \u00a0The ones that publish all that stuff while making the \u201clittle woman\u201d stretch the food stamps out for the whole month. \u00a0 I\u2019d almost\u00a0be willing to bet, (heavily), that these sites are, in actuality, run by Soros-funded Left wingers. \u00a0The MIS-information and the extremism\u00a0of their agendae are ALMOST caricaturish. \u00a0Bad spelling, grammar, punctuation\u2026you name it. \u00a0Even if they were scribed in Maine. \u00a0\u201cConspiracy Theory\u201d does an injustice to true conspiracy theorists everywhere. \u00a0Look, I get it. \u00a0I do. \u00a0\u201cThe government <em>IS<\/em> the problem\u201d, as the late Great Communicator used to say. \u00a0But martial law, camps and coffins, even<em> if<\/em> true are not\u00a0what the vast majority of the people want to hear, but aren\u2019t even subjects that the vast majority of Conservatives want to hear.<\/p>\n<p>Get real, boys and girls! \u00a0Prepared? \u00a0Yes. \u00a0But real. \u00a0Save your web hosting fees and give\u00a0it to a worthy candidate! \u00a0You\u2019ll do America <em>much<\/em> more good that way.<\/p>\n<p>(I reserve the option of adding to this. \u00a0That means you might want to check it for additional \u201cstuff\u201d once in a while)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0(Author&#8217;s note: \u00a0Please\u00a0keep in mind\u00a0that I wrote this during the hiatus from PQRM. \u00a0I found it on one of my old blogs and thought it worthy of publishing here. \u00a0You may disagree. \u00a0That is your G\/d given right. \u00a0Oh, yeah, I WAS particularly angry that day. \u00a0These things happen&#8230;.)
