An “all taxation is theft” and “No government is the best government”. The second<\/em> part is a derivation of “The government that governs best is the one that governs least”. Generally attributed to Thoreau in his 1849 \u201cCivil Disobedience<\/em>”\u00a0 where what he said was \u201cThe best government is that which governs least\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0Thoreau wasn’t a follower of the “small” or “limited” government.\u00a0 He was actually an anarchist…an “every man for himself”\u00a0 A great plan. ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY IMPOSSIBLE to achieve. Our latest foray into populism aside, it seems to be “not enough” from the farthest reaches of either side of the aisle, these days, Right OR Left.\u00a0 On the Right, the “Never Trumpers”, “RiNOs” and “Resisters” led by the late John McCain, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkawski; on the Left, the rise of Democratic Socialists with Bernie Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez, Cythia Nixon et al as well as groups that include violent free speech opponents such as AntiFa.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IN an online discussion, I had a follower, (one who never served and refuses to pledge allegiance to Old Glory because she “represents organized, generational theft”), refer to President Trump as “the Orange Calf” before which I should bow and scrape.\u00a0 Quite an obvious reference to the golden calf made by the Israelites during Moses’ absence while upon Mt. Sinai, (Horeb), receiving the Decalogue.\u00a0 \u00a0I’m not one for calling people names or referring to them by such means.\u00a0 Bad enough when I hear things like “Cheesypoof”, but to toss in the biblical reference makes it harder to see other Biblical reference from that same individual as proof-positive of his declared Christianity.\u00a0 The comparison, for an admitted Christian to use a false idol as a comparison to HIS “True G-d” boggles me.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back to the idea of that quasi-anarchic style populism, the Anti-Federalism of the 18th Century.\u00a0 When asked about who would be better than our current president.\u00a0 Would<\/em> we be better off with Hillary?\u00a0 Bernie?\u00a0 Jill?\u00a0 Well, no, of course not.\u00a0 Well, who<\/em> then?\u00a0\u00a0You would LITERALLY have to resurrect<\/em> the founding generations to get there. Why? Because people who actually BELIEVE in it, (Anti Federalism), are either DEAD or BUSY.\u00a0 Names that came up were, of course, Mason, Adams, Monroe and Yates.\u00a0 Also, the Paul family, (Ron AND Rand) as well as some others.\u00a0 Some<\/em> are busy at the business of government still today.\u00a0 But, some of them are only busy running their mouths, being way too “busy” to do silly things like RUN FOR OFFICE and MAKE YOUR CHANGES.
