Armagetonwithit, already!

Did you ever wonder how the “suggestions” in the right column of You Tube have ANY relation to the one you’re watching? Me too. I really don’t care that much, but there was one the other day of a couple of A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog) in ground support in the sandbox. Awesome stuff from one of my favorite combat aircraft of all time! “Bzzzt!” and stuff goes all boom-boom. But, speaking of boom, I feel like I should answer for some of my opinions here, as well as elsewhere on the world wide. The wars in the middle East and Asia Minor are untenable. I remember the shrill cries of a few years ago about “another Viet Nam”. Yup. We got it. How? Well, by the same mechanism that gave us the first one. By taking the war-waging duties from generals and giving them to politicians. That said, we should end them and bring our troops home. How? Stop using “smart bombs”. There are warehouses and bunkers, somewhere, just brimming with good old dumbass bombs. Our aging but venerable fleet of B-52 bombers were designed to deliver these at an amazing capacity. This does two things. It empties those warehouses and it stops, COLD, a column of daesh.
Wait…I can hear you from here. That old “Lou, you don’t understand! If we do that it will only create more of them!”. That’s okay. We have plenty of bombs. Sooner or later, if by no other means than attrition, it WILL STOP happening. “Collateral damage”? Oh, I get it. They really only wanted to drop the WTC on 9/11. The other plans and all the lives lost were only collateral damage, right? Or do I have that backwards? The women groped and raped in Cologne by all those poor widows and orphans…collateral damage? When they set fire to that cage on the beach, was the pilot ALIVE on the INSIDE of that cage…collateral damage?
Bring our people home. We can use them on our border.
Armagettonwithit already.
