The Women’s March: Here We Go Again..

So, it is done. Donald Trump is now the 45th President of the United States. I, for one, am pleased and over the moon at his taking the oath of office..

However, it is not the case with many women out there. As I write this, women are marching in DC, and many cities throughout the world.. They’re marching (so they say) to preserve women’s rights.  OOOOkay..

So what rights are those? Instead of the basic life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, the big ticket item on many women’s minds is birth control But, there’s no problem with that: you can buy it legally whenever you want.. Oh, you want us to pay for it, claiming it’s part of women healthcare? Nope, sorry…. Abortion? Again, it’s legal; the Supreme Court ruled many years ago you can get one. Oh, wait, you want us to pay for that also?? Another big NOOO!

Ladies, you choose to get into bed with your husband, boyfriend, latest booty-call hook-up or on-line hook-up and, yet, you want me to pay for it? But, isn’t that a choice? Just like getting an abortion? if you want one, that is your CHOICE… Get the word? CHOICE. You can say yes or no to your sexual urges. It’s not as if you’re a wild animal , with hormonal activity taking over and you must do it anywhere and any way you can.. The human body isn’t built that way, We have a brain and free will. Although… that IS the excuse the “immigrants” in Europe use….hmmm, maybe… no, let’s not go there. But! I digress…

What if I told you that the government wants to have complete control over your uterus? Isn’t that what you’ve been fighting against all these years? When you can have sex, with whom,  what sort of birth control to use and whether or not you get an abortion? Well, you are giving government the right to possible control by demanding and accepting  taxpayers’ money.. Did that ever, ever occur to you?? No? Figures…

And why? Because you are confusing a right with a choice.. We have a Bill of Rights to protect us from the government, protect our freedoms, yet there are so many of you out there who are rabidly declaring that birth control and abortion are rights and part of women’s healthcare, also.. No, to both…

Women’s healthcare consists of mammograms, pap smears, anything that is a preventive measure… Ah, I know, someone is going to pick up on the word ‘preventive’. Give it up: that argument doesn’t fly here..A medical procedure to indicate possible illness is different from taking a tiny pill so you can act like a jerk when you go out partying..

So, while you’re all out there, arm in arm with women, some who believe in Sharia law, draped in their hijab; bear in mind that these women gladly gave up their “women’s  rights” to be part of that culture (they’re using you by the way). And the men who are marching with you in solidarity: I’ll bet there are some who are looking to hook up for the night. I mean this whole thing is about birth control, isn’t it?? Many of them probably figure you’re a “modern” woman.. But there’s that choice thing again!

So, while all of you are in your pink hats… (I mean, really??) Think about this: All those marches throughout the decades declaring that you want equality for women, yet all the while demanding special class treatment for….WOMEN…

Maybe we haven’t come a long way after all…..

Full of sound logic……the marchers in their pink hats should be asked
to articulate what they’re really standing up for. Perhaps they’re just marching “against”. What a country!!

You mean the “Women’s March” that denied entry to a PRO LIFE women’s group? The “Women’s March” that was addressed by Madonna? Who made her first millions wearing a belt buckle that said “boy toy”? Who offered sexual favors to those who would vote against President Trump? THAT “Women’s March”?

You are full of logic and your opinions are intelligent – but was this Women’s March about logic and intelligence? Sometimes I feel that people march for the sake of having something to do to make them feel that they are doing something “progressively” important and to feel that they have power. But maybe it is also because they are afraid that their rights will be taken away? I think that at the root of these marches is the corrupt news that they are being fed that makes such claims that the Republicans do not care about women’s rights and want to overturn their rights. Bogus! Women have rights and they are not being threatened. As you said, the rest of us should not have to pay for the personal choice of a woman who wants to have sex and it is her responsibility to protect herself not mine or yours. This is part of being a mature adult being responsibility for herself. Maybe they ought to start to grow up.
