A few things going on that bear mentioning:

  • Sen. Chuck Schumer was caught on an open phone line in conference call with Senate Democrats, not realizing that reporters were on the line. He was telling the group that in the budget fight with the GOP, the word “extreme” was to be used. “”I always use extreme, Schumer said. “That is what the caucus instructed me to use.”  And people are shocked by this? The Dems are going to use every dirty trick out there to get what they want. And what they want is more spending, more control over OUR money, and a constant stream of bickering so nothing gets done with the new Republican majority.

  • New Black Panthers’ Leader Malik Shabbaz went on a rant on a radio show against Barack Obama in which he said: “You should have listened to Louis Farrakhan  a long time ago when you were at his table.”   Hmmm, interesting comment. Does he mean Obama listening to other people talk about him, or literally at the table in a face-to-face? I’d love to know the answer to that one, but I think it would fall in the same category as not knowing Bill Ayers, yet he had a fund-raiser at his home for Obama.
  • Dem Sen Dick Durbin (Illinois) is holding a hearing on Muslim civil rights in answer to Rep Peter King’s (R-NY) hearing on Muslim home-grown terrorism in the US. Thomas Perez, Asst. AG for civil rights remarked: “We continue to see a steady stream of violence against Muslims… The good news is that with each wave of intolerance, our nation has responded by passing new laws.” Well, for every instance of violence against Muslims, the violence against Jews in the country is tenfold.  Where is the hearing on that outrage?
  • Gas is up to $4 a gallon in some areas of the country, 13 % of all American homes are vacant and housing prices are still going down. And Obama goes to New York to meet with DNC contributors who gave the yearly maximum of $30,800 for a thank-you dinner. Wow, we know where his priorities are. Re-election bid..

Never a dull moment…
