SOMETHING IS VERY, Very, Wrong…

There are a few things regarding the Wikileaks debacle that have me very concerned.  Considering my experience in the intelligence community, all the pieces aren’t part of the same puzzle.

First, let’s deal with the army private that is rumored to be the source of the leaks, PFC Bradley Manning.  He was stationed in Iraq where, as an intelligence analyst, he had access to classified information from different intelligence sources.  What information exactly, I don’t know and depending on his security clearance it would either give him less or more access.

Every piece of classified info is restricted to certain people and organizations. You may have a certain clearance, yet if you do not have a “need to know” you will not have access to information if you are not on a specific distribution list.

Manning would not have had access to State Dept. communiqués. This is very troubling.

So far the parts aren’t fitting in properly.

To be continued……
